Cabo San Lucas to Vancouver Island

This past May I drove my 2025 BYD Shark 6 from Cabo to Vancouver Island, a trip no Canadian plug-in truck can accomplish - yet. This duel fuel pick-up features a 30 kWh Blade battery paired with a 1.5 L gas generator. BYD claims 800 km total range. In the real world I'm seeing less than 600 kms - still adequate for my needs.

Here in Chemainus, charging up on my Level 2 home charger, under a federal carbon credit program, electric costs ten times less than running on gas (based on $2.00/L). I've owned over 20 trucks in my lifetime and this is my favourite for so many more reasons.

Have an event coming up on Vancouver Island? Give me a call - I'll bring the truck and I'll explain its features.
