I'll Bring This Shark to You

If your First Nation or municipality wants to see what vehicle-to-load (V2L) technology actually looks like in practice, I'll come to you.

The BYD Shark is a dual-fuel plug-in extended range pickup. I have one of the very few in Canada. I drive it. I own it. And am happy to bring it to your community for a live demonstration anywhere on Vancouver Island.

Here's what it can do:

• Power my home for about a week — without grid power or sunshine
• Vehicle-to-load (V2L) — run tools, appliances, or emergency equipment directly from the truck
• Onboard Starlink — satellite communications in areas with no cell service
• Dual fuel — gas or electric, depending on what's available

In an emergency or natural disaster, this truck becomes a mobile power station and communications hub — rolling off-road infrastructure.

Considering the technology it packs, the price is very reasonable.
